Bengaluru, Feb 4: Minister for Minority Welfare called to vote for Congress party in the coming Lok Sabha elections and said that "Muslims who vote for BJP are not Muslims at all.
He was speaking after inaugurating the national awareness conference of Nadas, Pinjara and Mansoori societies, organized by All India Jamiatul Mansoor at the Palace grounds of the city on Sunday, February 3.
Zameer Ahmed said, "If Narendra Modi becomes a prime minister once again, the minorities will have to live in fear. So we have to vote for the party which believes in secularism. If the community votes with unity and compulsorily, then Congress will win more than 20 seats in the state."
The minister also assured that in the coming state budget, appeal will be done with the chief minister to reserve special grants for Pinjara and Nadaf communities. He also said that there are as many as 30 lac Nadaf and Pinjara community members in the state. In addition to special grant, a meeting will be held with the officials to give caste certificate to people of these communities.
