Mangalore, Feb 1: The student association of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College (FMHMC), Deralakatte was inaugurated on Friday, February 1.
The chief guest of the programme Prof John D'Silva addressing the students called them to carry vision and mission for service and to continue the legacy of Father Muller, to imbibe the moral values and leadership in the future and to shoulder greater responsibility by becoming courageous leader in the society working for the development of the nation.
The inauguration programme began with student’s association procession followed by prayer song by Alida and Team. Dr Girish Navada, staff advisor, Students’ Association welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest to the audience. The chief guest of the programme Prof John D'Silva, vice-principal, St Aloysius College (Autonomous)Mangaluru, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp with other dignitaries on the stage.
Fr Richard Aloysius Coehlo, director, Father Muller Charitable Institution and president of inauguration of students association 2019-20, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte told the students to work for the welfare, growth and progress of the institution and also to give good things to the society, to receive good things from the society and also to have give and take policy between student council and College Management.
Dr Shivaprasad K, principal read out the names of new office bearers and also administered the oath to the office bearers. Nandan Krishna, former president of student’s association gave farewell speech and thanked everyone and Samudrala Sai Revanth new president gave the acceptance speech and he sought support of everyone to become global leader.
Fr Vincent Vinod Saldanha, administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College honoured the chief guest by presenting a memento and in his message he said, “Small opportunities make great people and one has to begin with first step to become a great leader”. And he thanked and congratulated the office bearers.
Anika Jayakumar Pannakkal, general secretary, Students’ Association, rendered the vote of thanks.
Madhu K P, Sudheer K and Rosemary Ann Shaji Kudiyat are the new cultural, sports and magazine secretaries respectively. The programme concluded with institution anthem.
