Mumbai, Jan 13: The first ever multi-lingual musical concert titled 'Dhoom' and other cultural programmes were held on Sunday January 11 evening at the Nana Patil auditorium here. The programme was organized by the United Ways of Mission (UWOM), Nallasopara.
Aldel Education Trust chairman Albert W D'Souza was the chief guest of the function.
Fr Sushant, who was the guest of honour, released UWOM bulletin. Navin Kulshekar was the specially invited guest.
Multi-lingual music by veteran singers from Maharastra, Karnataka and Goa, jokes and mimicry by Zee TV Ekapeksha EK and Sony TV Boogi Woogi artistes enthralled the gathering. Variety dance performances by Liza, Terrence, Sunil and Anil also added flavour to the musical extravaganza.
Mangalorean Konkani singers Ester Noronha, Anthony Tauro, Blany D Costa, Prakash Mahadevan, Ophilia Ferrnandes, Roita Saldanha and Patrick sang all time Konkani hits on the occasion. Benjamin Miranda and group contributed play back singing.
UWOM founder Alwyn D Souza welcomed the gathering. President Donald D Souza and treasurer Arun Pinto honoured the guests with flower bouquets. Secretary Joylan Fernandes provided information on UWOM. Padma S proposed vote of thanks.
