Panaji, Jan 24: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar has said that it would be a great achievement of Union AYUSH Minister and North Goa MP Shripad Naik, if he manages, even an appointment for mining dependents with the Prime Minister to discuss the issue.

While reacting to the statement of Shripad Naik that the solution for the mining crisis has been found and it would be known in next 15 days, Chodankar said Naik is adding another page to the book of lies that they have been writing for last 10-11 months, fooling the mining dependents with deadlines after deadlines.

“I would say that it would be significant achievement of Naik as MP for last twenty years, if he could manage, at least, an appointment with PM to discuss the mining issue.”

Chodankar recalled discussion of Naik at Narvem (Bicholim) with group of mining dependents in which he had admitted that he was not been able to get appointment with the PM.

“It is a big question mark that whether Even PM Modi knows or recognizes Shripad Naik, who has been representing Goa for such a long time in the Parliament,” he said.

The scheduled Video conferencing of PM in Panjim will reveal whether Modi knows Naik as during the similar event in South Goa, Narendra Sawaikar had to introduce himself to the PM. This shows how much Centre actually respects and recognizes MPs from Goa.

Chodankar said that so-called imaginative mining solution is yet another Jumla by BJP to ensure that the inauguration of Third Mandovi Bridge is held without any hassles and protests by mining dependents.

Chodankar dared Naik to disclose the so called Solution to the mining issue before inauguration of the bridge and not to wait for 15 days.
