Bengaluru, Jan 19: “The leaders of coalition government are like thieves who steal children. We had to keep our BJP MLAs in resort to safeguard them,” lambasted BJP leader K S Eshwarappa against the coalition government.
Speaking to reporters in the airport, he said that they had gone for BJP national conference and remained there for two days in preparation for Lok Sabha elections. “Some MLAs are coming out from Congress due to differences. Therefore, Congress is trying to pull BJP MLAs towards them. Chief minister Kumaraswamy had persuaded MLA Subhash Guttedar to come to them offering the position of minister to him. Chief Minister has said that three BJP MLAs are in communication with them. They are eying BJP to set right groups and confusion in coalition government. It is our duty to protect our children when thieves of children are around. Therefore, we remained in Delhi both to prepare for elections and protect MLAs from thieves,” said Eshwarappa.
“We are hurt by the statement that Yeddyurappa is old. The leader of Congress house is not right. Some of their MLAs have not attended CLP. They are blaming BJP without setting right their house. Isn’t Siddaramaiah old? Siddaramaiah who is speaking like mad man should apologize to people. Siddaramaiah betrayed JD(S) and went to Congress. Congress MLAs are leaving the party saying that Siddaramaiah and Venugopal are not right. Remember that another 20 to 25 Congress MLAs are leaving the party,” he warned Siddaramaiah.
“You do not have the right to speak about BJP. 104 MLAs of BJP will remain united. We are not concerned if your MLAs come out saying that your government is not right. Your Congress-JD(S) government will not last long. Your MLAs are insulting you. All are waiting for BJP government in the state. None of Congress or JD(S) MLAs are in touch with us. If you have prestige and shame resign for the post of leader of legislative party and coordination committee. You desire for CM’s post after losing it. Is it wrong to say that we will come to power after having 104 seats? You should apologize for speaking against Yeddyurappa,” slammed Eshwarappa.
