Mumbai, Jan 6: Mulund Friends, a youth organization in the suburban metro organized a condolence meet on Monday January 5 afternoon, at Mahakalidas auditorium, located at Mulund (West), in order to pay homage to martyr police officer Tukaram Gopal Omble of 26/11 terrorists Mumbai attack who was killed in the cross firing after he had captured Mohammed Ajmal Ameer Iman Kasab alive.
Mulund Friends presented posthumous Shourya Award to Tukaram Omble's daughter Pavitra T Omble. Tukaram's colleague and good friend Pandurang Patak was also present at the occasion.
Karnataka Malla, Kannada daily editor Chandrashekar Palettady presided over the programme.
Lawyer Subash Shetty, Thane Bunts Association president Prof Sitaram R Shetty, former president D G Bolar, Santosh G Shetty Panvel garlanded flowers to the portrait of Tukaram Gopal Omble.
Kateeldappa Ullali, a Tulu mythological play based on Sri Durga Parameshwari Goddess of Kateel, Mangalore was staged under the leadership of Lion Kishore D Shetty. Jeevan Ullal was the director of the play.
The playwright of Tulu play is Kadri Navaneet Shetty.
