Mumbai, Jan 16: Jagajyothi Kalavrinda celebrated its 33rd anniversary at Thakur auditorium, Dombivli west on Sunday evening January 13.

Bantara Sangha Mumbai Dombivli local committee secretary Dinesh N Shetty and Akshay Cooperative Credit Society president Vasu S Devadiga were the guests of honour. Bantara Sangha Mumbai social welfare committee vice president Subbayya A Shetty released Jagajyothi souvenir.

Members and children performed dances as part of the cultural programme. Yakshagana artistes of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra performed ‘Mahishasura Mardhini’ Yakshagana play.

Yogini S Shetty, Sunanda Shetty and Meenakshi V Suvarna sang a prayer song. Kalavrinda president Ramesh A Shetty welcomed the gathering, gave an introductory address and felicitated the heads of local organizations. Joint secretary Taranath Ameen, founder member Raju R Suvarna, organizing secretary Santhosh P Shetty and Surendra Nayak introduced the guests. Former president Sukumar N Shetty informed about the 22nd annual awards of Kalavrinda and introduced the felicities. Former honorary secretary Vasanth N Suvarna compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
