Chitradurga, Jan 14: In a gruesome incident that occured in the Azad Extension of Hiriyoor, Sahiriyoor near here a two-year-old toddler lost his life when he was banged against the wall by his enraged father who was having an heated argument with his wife.

Mohammed Rihan (2), is the unfortunate child who lost his life in the midst of the fight between his parents. In the complaint filed with the police, the mother of the child, Tabassum Banu has accused her husband, Jaffer of causing the death of the child as it died of the impact when Jaffer threw the child forcefully against the wall.

Jaffer is an alcoholic and used to pick up fight with his wife every day. On Friday, January 11 also the same situation was being repeated in the house. In a fit of rage, Jaffer lifted the child and threw him against the wall. Though the child Rihan was admitted to a nearby hospital immediately, it could not survive and succumbed to the injury on Sunday, January 13.

A complaint in this regard is filed by Tabassum Banu against her husband Jaffer. The police have arrested the accused and further investigation is in progress.
