Bengaluru: CM’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy likely contestant in Mandya

Bengaluru, Jan 12: Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy is likely to contest Lok Sabha elections from Mandya.

The chief minister had told the media that there is pressure that Nikhil should contest. Devegowda decides about permission for sub urban train, cabinet meetings and if Nikhil Kumaraswamy should contest elections.

Prajwal Revanna, son of H D Revanna being in the fray from Hassan is almost confirmed. Devegowda has already said that he will be giving up his constituency to his grandfather. Prajwal Revanna has already started local visits.

If Nikhil’s standing for elections is confirmed, five members in Devegowda clan will be active in state and national politics.

If Nikhil Kumaraswamy contests in Mandya, JDS MP Shivaramegowda will be deprived of the ticket. He is not likely to agree to it.
