Kundapur, Dec 30: A national job guarantee conference was held at Nada gram panchayat on Monday December 29.
Speaking on the occasion Nityananda Swami, president, state agricultural labourers’ association, said that right to work means the right to live. Every citizen has the right to live and job is necessary to live, he said.
The continuous struggle by the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), has resulted in the implementation of job guarantee scheme, said Swami. Most of the governmental schemes have been a waste of money and faced corruption. But the job guarantee scheme is formed by legal rule and corruption is not possible, he added.
Rajiv Padukone, president, DYFI, presided over the function.
Dasa Bhandary, Venkatesh Koni, and Muttayya Kanyana, leader, state agricultural labourers’ association, Subramanya Achar, Janardhana Padukone and Madhavi Bantwadi, leaders, DYFI, and Leela D Kundar, former, president, Nada gram panchayat, were present on the occasion.
Raviraj Padukone welcomed the gathering while Janardhana, proposed the vote of thanks.
