Mangaluru, Jan 11: All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) has appointed Sheryl Iona as the co-coordinator of social media cell of Karnataka Mahila Congress.
Sheryl, who hails from Mangaluru, is an engineer by profession. She has worked in UAE in various capacities including admin manager for six years and then returned to Mangaluru to peruse her masters in digital electronics and communication. She had then worked as assistant professor at an Engineering College of Mangalore, after persuing her MTech degree.
The appointment was announced at New Delhi by Chitra Sarvara, general secretary (in-charge of social media) of All India Mahila Congress. AIMC has appointed 5 social Media Coordinators for the states of Rajastan, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Tamilnadu.
Karnataka Mahila Congress president Dr Pushpa Amaranath has congratulated Sheryl in her tweet.
Sheryl, who is known for her passion for music, plays organ and violin whenever she gets an opportunity. “This is a new challenge in my career and I am grateful to all who trusted in my capabilities and entrusted this responsibility on me. I will work hard to fulfill their expectations. The young generation of India believes in Rahulji's simplicity and sincere nature. I would like to see Rahulji as our Prime Minister soon," Sheryl said.
