Bengaluru: Collision of trucks - driver gets stuck inside, charred alive

Bengaluru, Jan 3: In a tragic incident which happened at Gogate Circle inside the city at 3 am on Wednesday January 2, a truck driver was burnt alive after his vehicle got involved with an accident.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Rafique Mohammed Khaleel from Uttar Pradesh.

Two canter trucks loaded with chocolates were moving to Belagavi from Goa via Khanapur. The canter truck in front stopped all of a sudden at Gogate Circle on Congress road here as its driver applied brake. The driver of the following canter truck lost control and his vehicle collided with the truck ahead. As a result, the air-conditioner unit of the truck suffered from short circuit and flames began to leap from the unit;.

The city police, who have registered a case, said that the driver could not wriggle out of the situation as his foot was stuck between the accelerator and brake of the truck.
