Udupi, Dec 29: Kaup police arrested a minor boy from the vicinity of city bus stand on Friday December 28 on the accusation of killing Rajesh Naik (38), a labourer in a hotel and resident of Mallaru Kudtimaru near Katapadi in the distirct, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kaup market.
The accused minor is said be a native of Bagalkot in the state and is working as a labourer in a liquor shop.
Homosexual relation is the reason
The deceased and the accused minor had homosexual relationship. Even on the day of the murder they had an argument in this matter and it ended up in the minor boy killing Rajesh Naik as per the information given by the police.
The accused had killed the deceased by banging a stone against his head. He fled the scene after removing Rs 400 in cash and the mobile phone of the deceased person. The team led by Kaup circle inspector Mahesh Prasad arrested the accused. The minor boy is produced to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB).
