Mangaluru, Dec 24: Christmas, is a feast that is heart-felt, participatory and capable of warming the coldest of hearts and encouraging openness towards others. Christmas is considered as the birthday of Jesus Christ whose life influenced the mankind most.
Jesus is the reason for the Season. “Without Christ there is no Christmas. Want to see God this Christmas? Be humble, God is there.” - Pope Francis.
One very important feature during this Christmas season is the Christmas Crib or Belen. It recalls the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. The members of Divine Mercy ward (Nod-Kadri) in Bejai parish came together whole heartedly with a plan of making a Christmas Star as well as Christmas Crib for their Ward, with the involvement of our Youth and people, so as to portray a message of Christmas to others. The members have contributed their time and helping hand by involving themselves for the success of the Christmas Crib.
Christmas Star as well as Christmas Crib were made by using Environmental Friendly items, keeping in mind the message of Pope Francis in the document, ‘Laudato-Si’. The utmost care has been taken to spread the message on one of the Four Virtues Jesus brings to people that is Hope, Love, Joy and Peace through the crib. The huge 20 feet Christmas Star depicts Four Important Events which result in the Birth of Jesus.
