Udupi, Dec 24: Christmas is not limited to a particular day or a place. It is celebrated everyday by every family and also their minds. It is a feast spreading love and peace to entire human race. The birth of Jesus Christ is one such feast which helps those who go away from God to come back to him, said Udupi Bishop Dr Jerald Isaac Lobo in his Christmas message.

He further said, "The colorful lightings, Christmas tree and stars give a message that God is symbol of light and one who displaces darkness. Christmas is also a feast of sharing."

"We need to sow the seeds of peace and brotherhood in our society. We need to follow 'Ivanarava Yennadirayya, iva nammava yennirayya', a Basavanna's vachana and accept everyone as our own instead of dividing the society. Peaceful society must be a precious gift to be given this Christmas," he added.

He further said, "Today when the humanity is regressing, Christ gives us a message to be peaceful, ensure freedom to every living being and brotherhood."
