Mangaluru, Dec 24: The Mangalurean community of Fujairah, celebrated Christmas recently with great joy and happy festive mood.

The celebration was held at V Hotel Fujairah. The programme began with a prayer dance by Zeeta, Andrea and Giana.

Vincent Barboza, president of Canara Catholics Fujairah welcomed the gathering. Young and talented children trained by Anson and Wilson sang the melodious Christmas carols which was followed by the senior choir singing the old and new Christmas hymns.

Fr Sagayaraj, parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Fujairah was the guest of honour. In his Christmas message he said, “The love of Christ and the love of neighbour should be the center of every celebration.”

Winner of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 6, Sabitha Mathias and the finalist Aenson Mathias were felicitated during the occasion.

The little children enjoyed dancing with their favourite Santa and received gifts and sweets from him.

Various fun filled games were conducted by Pramila Barboza while DJ Pramod Rebello kept the crowd dancing on the floor till the end.
