Beltangady: Murder of youth from Kanakapura - accused arrested

Beltangady, Dec 10: The police personnel from here have succeeded in arresting an accused relating to the murder of S Manjesh (25), who was found murdered on November 11 at Alake Road, Guripalla Cross in Ujire village. The arrested accused is Umesh from Alagur village.

Manjesh was a final year student of the university law college located at V V Puram Bengaluru. He was the son of A P Swamy from Hattihalli in Sathanur revenue division, Kanakapura. He had come to Dharmasthala on visit on November 8. He had become untraceable thereafter. His lifeless body with plastic taped around his face was found at Guripalla on November 11.

The accused was arrested under the leadership of Sandesh, police circle inspector here. At the request of the police, the court here has remanded the accused to seven days police custody.
