Doha, Dec 9: Chidananda Naik, general manager of M Pallonji inaugurated the 5th M Pallonji cricket tournament 2019 in presence Qatar Veterans Cricket officials all players and match officials.
M Pallonji, the sponsor team defeated Al Jazeera Media Network by six wickets in the inaugural match of the 5th M Pallonji cricket tournament 2018 at the Losail Cricket Complex.
After winning the toss, M Pallonji captain Neeraj put Al Jazeera Media Network into bat. Al Jazeera Media Network had started cautiously and scored 47runs for the loss of 1 wicket at the end of 6 Power play overs. M Pallonji bowlers never allowed Al Jazeera Media Network batsmen to score freely and took wickets at regular intervals.
Al Jazeera Media Network finally scored 126 runs in their allotted 20 Overs with loss of 10 wickets. Suhail, Al Jazeera Captain top scored with 35 runs in 27 balls with 2 6's and 4 4's.
For M Pallonji, Alban took 4 wickets giving 13 runs in his allotted 3 overs, Shafu and Praveen took 2 wickets each and Thisaru took 1 wicket.
In reply, M Pallonji lost their opener Razick, Sajeev and Thisaru cheaply with score of 17 by end of 3rd over. Captain Neeraj and Vikram steadied the M Pallonji innings and ensured that M Pallonji didn't lose any further wickets. At the end of 11 overs M Pallonji were in a spot of bother as the scoring rate was very slow. Thereafter the incoming batsman
Rajesh and Alban blazed away and scored the remaining runs in 5.3 overs and won the match for M Pallonji. Rajesh scored 32 in 14 balls with 4 6's and Alban scored 31 in 13 balls with 2 6's and 3 4's respectively. M Pallonji finally won the match in 16.3 overs losing 5 wickets.
For Al Jazeera Media Network Mohammed took 2 wickets, Imad, Nihal, Atik and Mohasin took 1 wicket each.
For his all- round performance, Alban of M Pallonji was adjusted Man of the Match.

Al Fardan 146 for 9 in 20 overs (Khan 60 runs in 25 balls with 56's and 6 4's, Rameez 3 for 22, Zaheer 2 for 12 and Jameel 2 for 28) lost to Q.S.Tech.149 for 2 in 12.2 overs (Rameez 45in 15 balls with 6 6's and 1 4's, Taabish 46 in 18 balls with 6 6's and 1 4's). Rameez of Q S Tech took Hatrick.

Serandib B defeated MIC by 7 wickets
MIC 138 for 9 in 20 overs (Bhaskar 34 in 18 balls with 3 6's and 1 4's, Ishtiaq 30 in 19 balls with 3 6's and 1 4's, Roshan 4 for 5 and Bandula 2 for 8) lost to Serandib B 139 for 4 in 17.4 overs (Akalanka 46 in 18 balls with 4 6's and 4 4's, Ranga 25 in 15 balls with 2 6's and 1 4's, Saddam 2 for 15). Roshan of Serandib B took Hatrick.
