Mangaluru, Dec 5: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy has invited applications from eligible people for the 'Honorary Award' and 'Book Prize' for the year 2018.

Honorary Award 2018

Applications are invited for liftetime achievement awards, from eleigible people, in three different categories of Konkani 

Literature, Konkani Art and Konkani Folk for the honorary award of 2018. This award carries a honararium of Rs 50,000, shawl, memento, garland, certificate and fruit basket. Achievers can directly apply to the academy. Organizations and public can also mention the name of the achiever and send the application.

Book Prize 2018

Applications are invited from authors and publishers for (1) Konkani poem or article or review (2) Konkani short story or novel or study work (3) Work translated to Konkani, published in the calendar year 2018 (Janaury 1 to December 31). The application needs to be sent along with four copies of the work. This award carries a honararium of Rs 25,000, shawl, memento, garland, certificate and fruit basket. 

Those who wish to apply for the Honorary award are requested to mention 'Konkani Academy Honorary Award - 2018' and for the Book prize the applicants should mention 'Konkani Academy Book Prize Scheme - 2018' compulsorily on the envelope and send the same to Registrar, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, MCC building, Lalbagh, Mangaluru - 575003 on or before January 15, 2019 as per the request made by Chandrahasa Rai B, registrar of the academy.

    I have running dance academy Shivaranjini natyalaya last 10 years we are giving different programmes at different places. I am working at Bank, The Hubli urban co op bank ltd hubli. We given all govt programmes darshan praogrammes ustavas konkani sahityakaar academy also. Running classes to upgrade students knowledge n conducting different exams. I am going different places as dance examiner both gandharav mahavidya mumbai n state secondary educationboard
