Mangaluru, Dec 3: Delta Construction has won the Trophy in SBI Corporate Cricket League 2018 tournament which was organised for Builders and Developers held at NMPT Ground, Panambur, Mangaluru, on November 24 and 25.
The Bearys Properties emerged as the runner up in the tournament, organized by the Charvi Communications Private Limited in association with the Auto Matrix, an authorized dealers for Tata Passenger Cars, Siddivinayaka Enterprises, authorized distributors for Supreme and Jal Piping Solutions, Inland Builders, Land Links and Nirmaan Homes. A total 10 of teams participated in the tournament.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mohamed Nazeer, commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation. During the occasion, the commissioner said, “This tournament is conducted with a motto of relieving the employees from day to day stress and involving them in a friendly atmosphere. I am extremely happy to see the support from State Bank of India and Tata Motors as well. Charvi Communication has taken a good initiative by organising this tournament for real estate sector and we expect more events like this in near future” andwished all the participating teams& the organising committee.”
SBI chief manager BC PadmanabhaMayya, KSCA Mangaluru zone convener Manohar Amin, Auto Matrix general manager Prashanth Mallya, Vikas Group of Institutions advisor Dr Ananth Prabhu, MPL chairman Mohammed Sirajuddin and MPL convener lmthiyaz were present.
During the event, Auto Matrix displayed its three vehicles Tiago, Nexon and Hexa. The builder, staffs and audience present during the tournament were facilitated to experience the Tata cars by test driving the vehicles of their choice at the venue. They organised a lucky draw contest for the audience and presented a gift voucher worth Rs 5,000 to the lucky winner Rakshak, employee of The Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru.
Team Nirmaan Homes, Bearys Properties and Delta Construction have entered into semi-finals. In the finals, Delta Constructions and Bearys Properties confronted each other and Delta Construction emerged as the winner.
Asif of Bearys Properties was adjudged as the man of the series, Deepak of Delta Construction was considered the best bowler and Fayaz of Bearys Properties was awarded the best batsman.
ACCE (India) vice president Vijay Vishnu Mayya, SBI chief managers Kiran KS and Shethu Madhava Rao, Lions Club president Manoj Kumar, Auto Matrix general manager Prashanth Mallya, Karnataka State License Electrical Contractors Association former president Urban Pinto, Charvi Communication Private Limited director (Marketing) and organiser of the tournament Nagesh Shashank, Ramananda Pai of Monark Studio, and tournament organising committee member Mohammed Hakheem were present.
Winning team Delta Constructions was awarded with Rs 50,000 prize and SBI Corporate Cricket League -2018 trophy while the runners up team Bearys Properties was awarded Rs 25,000 prize and a trophy.
