Mangaluru, Nov 28: As part of its service activities, Lions Club Balmatta, on Sunday November 25, held a diabetic camp along with free health card and diabetic screening at Bajjodi, Infant Mary Church premises.
The camp was held in coordination with Father Muller Medical College Hospital.
It started with a formal stage programme. Ln George D'Souza MJF, president of Lions Club Balmatta welcomed Fr Ivan Dsouza, parish priest of Infant Mary Church, asst parish priest Fr Patrick, vice president of Infant Mary Church Joseph Mascarenhas, regional chairperson of Lions Club Ln Shakila Raj and the doctors of Father Muller Medical team to the programme.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Fr Ivan delivered his message on how diabetes is dangerous because of imbalance of food, diet and lack of exercise and advised people to take care of their health by having regular health checkups. He also thanked the members of Lions Club Balmatta and the medical team of Father Muller College for conducting the medical camp.
This medical camp benifited a total of 150 people. President Ln George D'Souza MJF thanked Ln Walter and Ln Vincy for organising the camp in a beautiful manner.
