Kundapur: Govt school ahead of private schools, 95 lac worth works inaugurated

Kundapur, Nov 28: While most government schools are facing shortage of children and closing, people, students and donors who were determined to improve Amasebail government school like private schools stopped waiting for the government. They contributed to it to a large extent. The school now is overflowing with children with value based education, environment conducive to education, and all basic facilities. Though there are private schools around, people admit their children here on their own accord.

The grand anniversary of the school was held recently. Nearly 95 lac development works were started on the occasion. Udupi district panchayat president Dinaker Babu who inaugurated the programme said that the school anniversary is the platform to uncover the talents of children.



Amasebail charitable trust president A G Kodgi, entrepreneur M Krishnamoorthy Manja, anniversary committee president A Shanker Aithal, Narasimha Achar were felicitated. MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty chaired the programme and spoke. Headmaster Shekar U red the school report.

B Appanna Hegde, managing trustee, Mahalingeshwar temple Basrur, Gopal Bhat, consulting engineer, Udupi, M Sadananda Shetty, president primary school teachers’ association Kundapur, Balmane Narasimha and Shanker Hegde, businessmen, Jayarama Shetty Thombattu, Sathish Kini and Narasimha Shetty, president SDMC were present.

Rattadi Navinchandra Shetty welcomed. Anniversary committee president A Shanker Aithal gave an introductory address. Karunaker Hedge proposed the vote of thanks. H Rathnaker compered the programme.
