Daijiworld Media Network – Mysuru (EP)

Mysuru, Nov 21: “While I have defeated former chief minister Siddaramaiah, defeating his son would not have been difficult for us. But people in the BJP did not listen to me,” lambasted former minister V Srinivas Prasad against Congress leaders.

Speaking in Nanjangud, he said that if BJP people had listened to him they could have won another three seats in Mysuru, Varuna constituency in particular. “We have defeated his father in Chamundi. It would not have been difficult to defeat his son. But B S Yeddyurappa did not listen to me. He gave ticket to hotelier by saying that he will give it to ordinary activist and caused loss of seat,” he said.

“As Siddaramaiah forgot what he said in the cabinet, they lost sixteen seats including that of the chief minister. Ministers lost miserably in three constituencies in our district,” he said.

“My relatives and I will not contest Lok Sabha elections. Ticket aspirants have already informed to the leader. The high command will not take next decision. There are more than sixteen lac votes in eight constituencies. Leaders from all the constituencies should discuss about the candidates and inform the high command. We will work for the candidate selected by the party,” said Srinivas Prasad.
