Pernal, Udupi, Nov 20: Our lady of Fathima church, Pernal celebrated its annual parish feast on November 19. Celebration of the 'Vhodlem Fest' had started with the procession of the Corpus Christi (Kompricho Purxanv) which was held on Sunday, November 16 in an traditional manner. Celebration of Verspers was held on Tuesday, November 18 night with fully illuminated and colourful buntings.  High Mass was offered on Tuesday night followed by some entertainment activities by the parish ICYM unit.

Fr Richard Coello, Vicar var of Shirva dianary was the chief celebrant for the Festive Mass which started at 10:30 AM. Fifteen priests from Shirva dianery and nearby parishes co-celebrated the Mass together with the parish priest Fr Gregory Serrao.

ICYM organized a lucky stall to entertain the parishioners as well as the guests with some sizzling games.  People enjoyed the feast by purchasing sweets, ice creams, religious articles and other stuff in the 'Sant', the fancy market.

A musical evening 'Festachi Saanz' was organized in the evening by the ICYM parish unit. Joel Maxwell along with Reshma from Mangalore thoroughly entertained people with another Konkani sensation Roshan Belman. Loy Mangalore mixed the Karoake professionally. 'Planet' dance troupe entertained the crowd with their scintillating dance performances. Prem compered the show while Melwyn Pernal welcomed the gathering. Main sponsor of the event David Dsouza Pernal was felicitated by the parish priest. ICYM President Blan Correa and Lady Vice President Delora Correa were also present on the dais.
