Bengaluru, Nov 16: State BJP General Secretary and MLA C T Ravi has demanded that the JD(S)-Congress coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy must implement the much talked report of the legislature committee on the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Bangalore–Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) Ltd.

The BJP leader, who spoke to reporters in Bengaluru on Thursday, said the former MLA Ashok Kheny, who is the promoter of NICE, had contested 2018 Assembly election on the Congress ticket and was defeated.

Ravi pointed out that JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda had waged a big battle and campaign against the NICE project and wanted the former Prime Minister’s son and present Chief Minister Kumaraswamy must take immediate action.

The 400 page report recommended a probe by national agencies such as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or Enforcement of Directorate or investigative agencies of equal standing, Ravi said.

Based on the survey, the Legislature committee has recommended dropping of about 1160 acres of both private and government land from the project.

The report was ready about two years ago but the government has not taken any action on the recommendations.

Ravi accused the Kumaraswamy government of “adjustment politics” and it has been showing laxity in the execution of the report's recommendations.

The BJP leader alleged that the State government had not been responding to the problems faced by drought hit people in 100 taluks in the State.

Instead of spending money from the State’s exchequer, the Government has been blaming the Modi government for not releasing funds, the MLA claimed.
