Bantwal: Theft of gold ornaments during marriage function

Bantwal, Nov 5: It has come to light with delay that about 22 sovereigns of gold ornaments went missing during the marriage function which was organized at Indian Auditorium marriage hall at Neralakatte, Netlamudnur village near Vittal in the taluk. The  incident had happened on October  25 but the case was registered in Vittal police station on Sunday November 4.

The complaint was filed by Ummer Saheb (60) from Netla Mudnur village. He said that his daughter-in-law had taken part in the said marriage function during which period a belt made of gold and a golden necklace kept in her vanity bag had gone missing. The value of the lost ornaments has been given as six lac rupees.

The complainant said that there has been delay in filing the complaint as an effort was being made to go through the video footage and find out the person who would have stolen the ornaments.
