Bengaluru: Unnatural death of two girl students in Alvas - report submitted

Bengaluru, Oct 30: The government has filed the inquiry report relating to unnatural deaths of two girl students in Alva's residential college at Moodbidri  in Dakshina Kannada district to the state high court on Monday October 29.

Parents of deceased students, Kavya Poojary and Rachana Manjunath, had approached the high court seeking to entrust cases relating to these deaths to Central Bureau of Investigation. The public prosecutor handed over the inquiry report to the single judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice B Veerappa, which is  considering the applications filed by the two parents.

The bench, which received the report, adjourned hearing by a week.
