Bagalkote, Oct 28: Senior Congress leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday, October 28 said that no one has the right to decide food habits of others, taking an indirect dig those imposing beef ban.
Addressing a campaign rally of minorities in Jamakhandi, Siddaramaiah said, "Till now I have not consumed beef. But if I feel like, definitely I will have it. Nobody can question it," to which the gathering replied with applause.
"Within BJP, several leaders do not want B S Yeddyurappa to become the chief minister. There are two groups in BJP. Yeddyurappa cannot become CM since the BJP has no majority," Siddaramaiah said.
Lashing out at Modi led NDA government, Siddaramaiah said, "Before Modi became the prime minister the prices of gas cylinders were Rs 400 and now it has reached to Rs 900. Until Narendra Modi is in power, minorities, dalits and backward class people will not live happily. Do not pay heed to fake promises of the BJP."
