Kuwait, Oct 23: Mangaluru south MLA Vedavyas Kamath who was visiting Kuwait for the first time after getting elected as MLA was felicitated by members of G S B Sabha, Kuwait.

He was cordially welcomed with garland, flower bouquet, draped with shawl, presenting fruits, flowers and memento. G S B Sabha Kuwait president Palimaru Vishwanath Prabhu chaired the programme. Vice president Girish Shenoy gave a speech introducing the MLA.

Former president of the sabha, Dr Surendra Nayak Kapadi, Gokuldas Bhat and advisory committee members Anil Prabhu, Rajaram Pai Kateel and Prakash Pai led the programme.

MLA Kamath responding to the felicitation commended the organization and unity of community members even in foreign countries. He praised their religious and social activities, distribution of student’s scholarships and aid to the poor, sick and the weak. Public relations officer of the sabha, Ganesh Padiar and secretary Spoorthi Deepak Kamath compered the programme. Treasurer Vinayaka Shenoy proposed the vote of thanks.
