Udupi: Electrician involved with repair works electrocuted

Udupi, Oct 22: An electrician, who was conducting repair of machinery in a fishmeal factory at Pitrody in Udyavar near here, was electrocuted after unexpectedly electricity flew through it.

The victim of this incident was Seetharam Gowda (26) from Chandumath in Belage, Ankola.

Gowda was in-charge of electrical shift at the factory. On Saturday evening, he was undertaking repairs without switching off the mains, it is said. As he suffered violent electric shocks unexpectedly, he fell seriously ill; He was immediately taken to a private hospital in the city. The doctors who examined him said that he had already breathed his last.

On the basis of complaint filed by Harish, brother of the deceased, a case was registered in Kaup police station.
