Udupi, Nov 7: A Corps of Detectives team, entrusted with the task of investigating into the murder of Bhoja Shetty, teacher and his relative Suresh Shetty from Nadpal village, led by deputy superintendent of police Sheshadri, visited various villages in Seetanadi region of the district on Thursday November 6.
The team visited the homes of Bhoja Shetty and Suresh Shetty and collected information. It is widely believed that naxals murdered Bhoja Shetty, whom they suspected to be a police informant and BJP sympathiser. The naxals had later owned responsibility for the murder, in leaflets found in some places. However, the investigating team is examining the possibility of a team of sharp shooters from Mumbai having been involved with the murder.
Sheshadri is assisted by three more policemen belonging to the investigating team. Local policemen too are helping the team in its job.
