Panaji, Oct 5: Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai on Friday ruled out the possibility of any mid-term polls in the State.
He was referring to the apprehensions raised by opposition Congress party of State heading towards mid-term polls along with Parliamentary elections early next year.
“There is going to be no midterm polls I have discussed with whoever it needs to be discussed with in Delhi and in Goa,” Sardesai told reporters at the sidelines of an event in Panaji this evening.
“I have got an assurance from ruling party that there will be no midterm poll. You are well aware about political reality, no one can afford the midterm poll,” he commented.
