Mumbai, Oct 5: Bharath Bank held elections in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat for the board of directors for the year 2018-2021. The ballot papers were counted by opening the boxes in Brijvasi Palace auditorium, Goregaon east on Tuesday October 2 in the presence of security officials, election officials and aspirants in the leadership of cooperative society registrar A K Chavan.
Former director Rohith M Suvarna and Sathish N Bangera lost in the elections. L V Ameen, advocate S B Ameen, J A Kotian, Premanath P Kotian, Purushotham S Kotian, Vasudeva R Kotian, Damodar C Kunder, N T Poojary, Gangadhar J Poojary K B Poojary, Mohandas A Poojary, U S Poojary, Bhasker M Salian, Jaya C Suvarna, Jyothi K Suvarna, K N Suvarna and Suryakanth J Suvarna were the winners.
Elections were held for the board of directors which has 22 seats, except two ladies members, two opted members and one backward class and backward tribe. The results will be officially announced on October 5.
