Nigerian arrested for illegal stay in Goa


Panaji, Sep 26 (IANS): A Nigerian national was arrested on Wednesday in Goa for not possessing any travel documentation, including passport or visa, an official said.

Promise Nkwachuku, 29, was held at the beach village of Baga, around 20 km from Panaji, said police officer Jivba Dalvi.

"We have contacted the Nigerian embassy and the accused has been remanded to 14 days in judicial custody," the official said.
