Dubai, Sep 24: Coastal Friends UAE (CFU) announced to organize its first mega event, CFU Cup 2018, Open Throwball Tournament at Bilva Indian School on November 16.
Since its commencement in 2015, CFU is a popular and top throwball team in UAE. This will be CFU’s first ever step to conduct the event. Reputed throwball teams from all over UAE are expected to take part in this championship. The championship will be organised in a professional manner, in which the technical officials will conduct the tournament on ‘League-Cum-Knock out Basis’. Each team shall consist of nine players and maximum 3 substitutes. The tournament is open only to Indian residents in UAE.
CFU appeals for the generous support from every community for this event, through significant contribution and active participation to make this event a spectacular one.
Teams are invited to play 2 categories:
• Throwball (Women)
• Throwball (Men)
Awards for the Championship
CFU Cup Open Throwball Championship trophy and cash prize shall be awarded to the winning team. Also special individual awards will be presented to best smasher, best defender and best all-rounder of the championship.
