Mumbai: Billawara Association distributes scholarships, adopts students

Mumbai, Sep 10: Billawara Association here held its annual felicitation programme for outstanding students, distribution of scholarships and adoption of students at Billawara Bhavan, Santacruz east on Saturday September 8.

The programme was chaired by association president Chandrashekar S Poojary. Entrepreneur Sathish H Poojary was the chief guest. Bharath Bank director Bhasker M Salian was present as guest of honour.

Association vice president Shanker D Poojary, honorary chief treasurer Rajesh J Bangera and women’s wing president Jayanti V Ullal were on the dais.



Bunts Sangha’s S M Shetty College Povai principal Dr Sridhar Shetty delivered a lecture on the subject of self-awareness and development for the all-round development of students.

Lekha Suvarana sang a prayer song. Education subcommittee president Vishwanath Thonse welcomed the gathering. Association honorary chief secretary Dhananjay S Kotian presented an introductory speech and compered the programme. Education committee honorary secretary Harish G Salian proposed the vote of thanks.
