Mangaluru, Sep 8: A man was stopped, assaulted and his gold chain was snatched near Krishnanagar, Thokkottu late night on Wednesday, September 5. A police case in this connection was registered in Ullal police station.

Krishnanagar, Thokkotu Olapete resident George Lobo was walking back home after work when local resident Kavith Poojary has allegedly assaulted him near the lane on the way to the residence of George Lobo and snatched gold chain worth Rs 40,000 from his neck.

Police are on the lookout for Kavith Poojary.
