Chinese shares open mixed

Beijing, Aug 23 (IANS): Chinese stocks opened mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.01 per cent to open at 2,714.87 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.09 percent lower at 8,446.98 points, Xinhua news agency reported.
