Mumbai: Kannada Welfare Society Ghatkopar holds Kavi Ghosti

Mumbai, Aug 21: Kannada Welfare Society on the eve of its golden jubilee on Sunday August 19 held a multilingual poetic meet at their Ghatkopar auditorium. Brahmashree Narayanaguru research seat director Muddu Moodubelle chaired and Dr Sunitha Shetty inaugurated the programme.

Chembur Karnataka Sangha president Advocate H K Sudhaker and welfare society president Navin Shetty Innabalike presented flower bouquets to the poets and honoured them.



Dr Girija Shastri, Gopal Trasi, Ganesh Kumar (Kannada), Dr Karunaker Shetty Paniyoor, S Daya, Dr G P Kusuma, Ashok Valadoor, Ashok Pakkala, Sharada A Anchan(Tulu), Rons Bantwal(Konkani), Shanti Shastri (Havyaka), Akshatha Deshpande(Marati), Arusha N Shetty(Gujarati) presented their poetry and conducted Kavi Ghosti.

Well known scholar and researcher Babu Shiva Poojary, Mangaluru University seat vice chancellor Prabhaker Neerumarga, Moodbidri Alva's College professor Dr Yogish Kairodi, Kannadiga Patrakartara sangha Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palethady, Bantaravani editor Ashok Pakkala, G T Acharya, Karnur Mohan Rai, Sathish N Bangera, Radhakrishna Shetty, Shanker Shetty, Divaker Shetty and other elite people were present.

Welfare Society Kannada Welfare vice president Jayaraj Jain, treasurer Harish M Shetty, joint secretary Ramananda Shetty, women's wing president Shanta N Shetty, office bearers and members felicitated the guests.

Secretary Sudhaker Elooru thanked everyone.
