Puttur: PAC bags 47 medals at district level swimming competition

Puttur, Aug 21: Puttur Aquatic Club (PAC) swimmers won 47 medals at the district level school games swimming competition (Saarwajanika Shikshana Illakae, Mangaluru). The competition was conducted by Bethany Higher Primary School, Puttur at the Dr Shivarama Karantha Balawana Swimming Pool.

Neil Mascarenhas, a 10th standard student from St Philomena High School won three gold medals in 50, 100 and 200 metres breaststroke.

Shreenidhi D K, a 10th standard student from Sudana Residential School won two gold medals in 200 metres backstroke and 400 metres freestyle and one silver medal in 200 metres freestyle.

Ankith a 9th standard student from Sudana residential school won three silver medals in 50 metres back stroke, 50 metres breaststroke and 100 metres breaststroke.

Tanvir Pinto a 9th standard student from St Philomena High school won three silver medals in 400 Individual Medley, 4x100 metres Freestyle relay, 4x100 metres Medley Relay, and two bronze medals in 200 metres butterfly and 100 metres Freestyle.

Asmi Savjani a student of 8th standard of St Philomena High School won two bronze medals in 400 metres Freestyle & 200 metres Backstroke and one silver medal in 100 metres Freestyle.

Aryan, a 7th standard student from Sudana Residential School won 2 silver medals in 4x 100 metres Medley relay and 4x 100 metres Freestyle relay.

Dhanvi J Rai, a student of 9th standard from St Philomena High school won one gold medal in 4x 100 freestyle relay, one bronze medal in 50 metres breaststroke and two silver medals in 50 metres Freestyle and 50 metres Butterfly stroke.

Nuthan, a 9th standard student from Vivekananda English medium School won a gold medal in 400 metres Individual Medley, silver in 100 metres Butterfly, bronze in 200 metres Individual Medley.

Adwith Rai Baarike, a 7th standard student from Bethany Higher Primary School won four bronze medals in 400 metres freestyle, 100 metres butterfly stroke, 4x100 metres freestyle relay, and 4x100 metres Medley relay.

Nandan, a 6th standard student of Sudana Residential school won two bronze medals in 50 metres breaststroke and 100 metres breaststroke, two silver medals in 4x100 metres Freestyle relay and 4x 100 metres medley relay.

Neethi Rai, a 7th standard student from Sudana Residential school won two bronze medals in 100 & 200 metres Freestyle, one silver medal in 200 metres Individual Medley.

Josna, a 7th standard student from St Rita's, Vitla won three silver medals in 50 metres breaststroke 50 metres Freestyle and 100 metres breaststroke.

Aniketh, a 6th standard student from Sudana Residential School won two silver medals in 4x 100 metres Medley relay and 4x 100 metres Freestyle relay.

Ashish K, a 6th standard student from Sudana Residential School won two silver medals in 4 x 100 metres Medley relay and 4x 100 metres Freestyle relay and two bronze medals in 50 metres Freestyle and 50 metres butterfly stroke.

Bhuvan, 8th standard student of Saandeepani Rural educational Trust won a bronze medal in 200 metres Freestyle.

All the swimmers are trained by coaches Partha Varanashi, Niroop, Rohith and Sathya at Dr Shivarama Karantha Balawana Swimming pool and St Aloysius Swimming Pool Mangaluru.
