Mangaluru: Free medical checkup camp held at Bajal Church

Mangaluru, Aug 21: On the occasion of platinum jubilee celebration, God the Holy Spirit Church, Bajal , along with Rotary Club Mangalore Sunrise and Daivik Amruth Charitable Trust conducted a free medical checkup camp on August 19 at St Joseph School premises.

Prominent doctors of Mangaluru Dr Raveesh Tunga, Dr Ravishankar Bhat, Dr Vijay Pai, Dr Suchithra and Dr Ashok Shetty were a part of the camp. More than 400 people were treated in different department such as pediatrics, ENT, cardiac related issues and other common ailments.



The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Fr Remigius Aranha, parish priest, God the Holy Spirit Church, Bajal. Eulalia D'Souza, president of Rotary Club, Blany Fernandes, secretary of Rotary Club, Nagesh Shenoy, convenor of the Rotary Club, Santhosh Lobo and Mariette D’Silva organisers of the Daivik Amruth charitable trust, Henry D’Souza, vice president of the parish council, Alwyn D’Souza, vice president of the jubilee committee and Maurice D’Souza, secretary of the parish council were present.

Sunil Crasta compered the programme, Maurice D’Souza welcomed the gathering and Mariette D’Silva presented the vote of thanks.
