Bengaluru, Aug 12: The expansion of ministry in coalition government led by the Congress and the JD(S) is expected to delay further.
Those leaders expecting ministerial berths will have to wait until Deepavali since local body elections are also fast approaching.
Several leaders in the Congress expressed dissent soon after ministerial posts were provided and the party high command had a tough time in handling the situation and pacify the disgruntled leaders.
Presently, as many as 20 MLAs are aspirants of ministerial berth and only 6 posts are vacant.
The Congress leaders are hesitating to expand the ministry, since the BJP might gain if the disgruntled leaders might decide to switch sides.
The senior leaders in the Congress Siddaramaiah and H K Patil too have conveyed the same to the party high command.
