Mangaluru: ICYM Omzoor unit organises ‘Best Amigos Forever’

Mangaluru, Aug 8: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM)Omzoor Unit on the occasion of National Friendship Day proudly organised ‘Best Amigos Forver 2018’ on August 5 at Sabha Bhavan Holy Family Church here.

The event was conducted to create positive impacts on the lives of people through their participation, to develop connections with their peers, to share their interests and talents, to share experience that many other individuals enjoy.

Fr Alwyn D’Cunha, parish priest and director of ICYM Omzoor unit, Patrick Pinto, vice president, Holy Family Church Omzoor and Roshal, joint secretary ICYM Bantwal deanery were present on the dais. Josna D’Souza, president, ICYM Omzoor unit welcomed the gathering.

Overall 36 teams participated in the competition. Eleven various activities and games were conducted to the participants. There was a huge gathering of 72 participants in total. The first place was bagged by Ashlin D’Souza and Austin D’Souza and the second place by Lloyd Rebello and Herryston D’mello.

The presence of Fr Ronald D’Souza, director ICYM Mangaluru diocese and the members of Central Council ICYM Mangaluru diocese overwhelmed the gathering. Elroy Saldanha presented the vote of thanks. The participants shared their views about the event stating it was definitely a day to remember forever. ‘Best Amigos Forever 2018’ concluded with the anthem of ICYM.
