Mangaluru: Youth wing of Mata Amritanandamayi Math holds ‘Ayudh’

Mangaluru, Aug 8: Brahmacharini Mangalamrta Chaitanya, inaugurated a two-day Monsoon Event of ‘Ayudh’ (Amrita Yuva Dharma Dhara) - youth wing of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Aarohan 2018, the ascent, with the theme ‘Create Your Own Sunshine’ with over 150 participants from various places, and told that continuous learning, confidence, and hard work will contribute much in personality development.

The logo of the event depicts the ascent of Ayudh from the Tree of Life. The wisdom churned from experiential learning in the process called Life, prepares one for the flight in life depicted by the dove representing an Ayudhian.



The event was conducted by Shri Prasad Deole, director of Z-Bac Adventures under the coordination of Ayudh Mangaluru Team: Event coordinator Yashwin Dhanpal, event director Meenu Sreekumar, event convener Dr Nandita Shenoy, finance head CA Ramnath Nayak, creative head Swaroop BK, and secretariat led by Swarn Suvarna, Shifali HL, Ashwini Rakesh and volunteers of Ayudh Mangaluru.

The event was intended to develop leadership qualities among youth based on culture and morality and ethics. Many members were inspired by his Motivational talk and experiential learning to push you to create your own sunshine and simplify your life.

Dr Ashajyothi Rai, social worker, and medical practitioner, Dr Y Bharath Shetty, MLA, Mangaluru City North and Prof T Krishnamurthy, principal of SDM PU College Ujire have participated as chief guests. Dr Ashajyothi Rai opined that the younger generation should come forward with new ideas and elders should support, and encouraged the participants to gain the best of Event Aarohan 2018.

It celebrated the art that touched every participant in some way or other. Mahesh Rao, an engineer with MBA is now doing his PhD in Rangoli at the School of Arts in Manipal University, driven by the ambition to distinguish himself as a Rangoli artist. Mahesh, who is the fifth person in the country doing his doctorate, has earned several laurels, including a gold medal at the Red Fort. He displayed his prowess in Rangoli to the participants. Rangoli in this event was not only to enhance student's imagination but also to keep intact Indian tradition. His Rangoli was aesthetic, beautiful and inspiring for all.

On this momentous occasion, Dr Y Bharath Shetty launched the annual project Amodini (happy woman), a step towards health, happiness and hygiene of women - a campaign for reusable pads, an initiative inspired by the world-renowned humanitarian Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. “When the heart is full, the words are few,” The event became memorable and meaningful for Ayudhians as it ended with the felicitation of Satyaraj, senior member of Ayudh, for his consistent and outstanding contribution since the last 15 years. He has earned the love and respect of many for his dedicated service

The Aarohan 2018 was rich with activities, performances, speakers and various adventure games, mind boggling exercises, technical sessions, entertainment programmes and camp fire. The objective is to encourage students to participate in this camp in an innovative way, organizing such events helps participants to remain in close touch with their culture.
