Puttur: PAC swimmers grab six medals at Speedo Invitational Swimming Championship

Puttur, Aug 6: Puttur Aquatic Club (PAC) swimmers Diganth VS, Amanraj, Anvith Rai Barike and Siya Bhavin Savjani won six medals in the Speedo Invitational Swimming Championship 2018 conducted on August 4 at Kensington Pool, Ulsoor, Bengaluru.

Diganth V S, a student of class 5 from Bethany Higher Primary School, Puttur, won 2 gold medals in 100 metres freestyle and 50 metres backstroke and a silver medal in 200 metres individual medley.

Siya Bhavin Savjani, a student of class 3 from Bethany Higher School won a gold medal in 50 metres butterfly stroke, Anvith Rai Barike, a student of class 5 from Bethany Higher Primary School won a silver medal in 50 metres butterfly stroke, and Amanraj, a student of class 5 from Saandeepani Narimogaru won a bronze medal in 50 metres freestyle.

Puttur Aquatic Club swimmers collectively earned a total of 2,269 points in the meet.

All these swimmers are coached by Partha Varanashi, Niroop G R, Rohith and Sri Krishna at Balawana Swimming Pool, Puttur and St Aloysius College swimming pool, Mangaluru.
