Bengaluru, Aug 3: A lady, who was carrying cocaine and ketamine drugs in packets resembling that of noodles was arrested Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths. Drugs worth Rs 1.20 crore was confiscated from her.
The arrested accused is identified as Grace Roy (35), a native of West Bengal and an employee of a spa in the city.
NCB officials had definite prior information that Grace was travelling in a semi-sleeper bus from Mumbai to Bengaluru on August 1 and drugs were in her possession. As she got down from the said bus at Madiwala, NCB officials took her into custody and checked her handbag. When they opened her handbag, they found three packets of noodles. When the sleuths opened these packets they saw small sachets resembling that of noodles masala packets. However, when they opened the sachets, they found powdered drugs inside them.
When the confiscated powder was tested in the laboratory it was confirmed that these are drugs. The accused was arrested and subjected to interrogation. The NCB officials have informed that 200 gram cocaine worth Rs 1.20 crore and 100 gram Ketamine worth Rs 50,000 was confiscated from the accused. As per officials, the accused was produced in the court and taken into custody for further investigation.
