Kundapur, Aug 3: Shivamogga police arrested a man who had deserted his wife and was absconding without appearing in court.

Head constable Harish and constable Pranesh under guidance from Kundapur PSI Harish R Nayak arrested accused Prashanth Manchikoppa at Shiralakoppa, Shivamogga and produced in Kundapur JMFC court. The court ordered his judicial custody till August 16.

Prashanth had married Koteshwar based girl. As cracks developed in their married life, Prashanth married another woman. A case was registered against him in this connection. As he was absconding without appearing in court for the last two years, the court had released a warrant against him.
