San Francisco, Jul 27 (IANS): Google is launching its Virtual Reality (VR) training programme called "VR Creator Lab" in Europe, starting with London as a three-day "boot camp" followed by a three-month training from leading VR instructors and filmmakers.
"The boot camp will be held in London from September 18 to September 20 where the participants will receive between $30,000 and $40,000 as funding towards their VR project," Sarah Steele, VR Producer, Google wrote in a blog post.
With YouTube and global media company "VRScout.", Google curated the "VR180" which is a tool for creators to easily make VR videos and convert them into standardised file formats, required by mainstream post-production editing tools.
YouTube creators, above 18 years of age and with a minimum of 10,000 subscribers are eligible to register themselves for the programme, along with independent filmmakers.
The first "VR Creator Lab" was launched in Los Angeles in June.
