Sullia, Oct 8: Rat fever has reared its head in the region with two people believed to have died of the disease on Monday October 6. This comes just as the Chikungunya cases seemed to have gotten few and far between.
The deceased have been identified as Babu (40), son of Duggaladka resident Aitha, and Prabhakar (25) son of Sonangeri Ajekkala Choma.
Babu and Prabhakar had high fever which was diagnosed as rat fever, said primary health center doctors.
