Kundapura: Forest Officers Nab Three Poachers Recover 40 Kgs of Wild Buffalo Meat

Kundapura, Sep 30: Forest department personnel led by the range forest officer nabbed three persons who poached a wild buffalo in Mudoor reserve forest, near here, in the early hours of Monday September 29.
They also recovered two bags containing 20 kilograms each of buffalo meat from the poachers, and a country gun. The arrested are being identified as Kotteri Saroj, Kotteri Baby, and Bombay Baby, while three others—Lakshu Baby, Yellanthulla Parambil, and Shiby, are absconding.
Deputy forest conservator Mohammed Ashraf, range forest officer Anand Hudar, T Kiran Babu, Shaktivelu, Sadanand, forest guards Eshwar, Anand Bhandary, Lokesh, Ravi Kumar, Chidambar, Chandra Mudoor, and jeep driver Sadashiv, were amongst those involved in the raid that was carried out under the instructions of divisional forest officer (DFO) Manjunath Chavan.
